The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will.

As Huey would say"working for a living"

To quote one of my favorite songs......”Someday s won't end ever and some days pass on by, I'll be working here forever, at least until I die. Dammed if you do, dammed if you don't “ It seems as though I've lived at the Dunham's Sports store in Auburn these last four weeks, working 10-14 hour days. “Hey I'm not complaining 'cause I really need the work Hitting up my buddy's got me feeling like a jerk Hundred dollar car note, two hundred rent. I get a check on Friday, but it's all ready spent.” “… Continue

AMY IS GOING TO THE OLYMPICS !!!!

Amy Yoder Begley, who'd been front running with Flanagan and Goucher earlier but then faded, summoned up enough of a finishing kick to hit the line in 31:43.60. It was a stunningly resurgent and dramatic never-say-die performance by Begley, who explained "I was doing a lot of math the last 800 meters." Goucher and Begley are training partners; their post race reaction was far beyond jubilant. Amy is a local runner from Kendallville, many of us watched her run high school cross country, I had the… Continue

It had not even crossed my mind until I heard a radio commercial this morning for the Day After sale at JC Penny's in honor of Father's Day. First it baffled me that there would actually be a sale for that - go economy! Second, I was horrified to know that I am that absent of my surroundings… Continue

The website Run Indiana picked the Top ten running highlights of 2007 and the number one slot went to Rebecca Hollenbaugh of South Whitley. I found her blog to be very inspiring; she is a young woman dealing with cancer and on her blog she shares her everyday story with us. She is very inspiring and if you or someone you know is dealing with cancer, take the time to read her blog.

THE YODER BEGLEY DISTANCE CAMP

YODER BEGLEY DISTANCE CAMP COMING TO MANCHESTER COLLEGE:
The Yoder Begley Distance Camp is pleased to return to the Manchester College campus. This camp was founded by directors Amy Yoder Begley and Andrew Begley back in 2000. Between the two of them, they bring experience from 17 NCAA All-American honors, two NCAA individual National Championships, nine NCAA Team National Championships, eight individual Indiana State titles and four Footlocker High School all-American honors.

Now training for the 2008 Olympic Trials as part of the Nike Oregon Project, they have partnered with MC head coach Brian Cashdollar and assistant coach Rick Hammer to continue the camp tradition in Indiana.
Coach Cashdollar (a Dekalb grad) has another Dekalb runner heading to Manchester, Emma Weiler will be there next fall
