"Indiana wants me...Lord I can't go back there..." That must have been one of the dumbest songs ever written. I'm living in Colorado Springs, where the air is thin and the country is beautiful. It takes 20 minutes to get to dozens (if not more) running trails that offer spectacular views and privacy. If I had to choose my favorite running partner, it would be my daughter Sandra, who is one of my favorite people in the world to be with. We recently ran the annual Garden of Gods 5 K run together and hopefully we can do it together every year from now on. In my opinion, two of Indiana's best runners are Brad and Ryan Middleton.

The trail is only a 1/2 mile from our house and it's about a 1/2 mile long. They are talking about expanding it to around a mile long, which will be nice. It goes by the new park, which has all the ball fields now, a pond and its just down Indiana Ave. going towards the high school. I hope they keep it cleaned every year, its nice to have a place thats different to run or walk the dogs. I finish my runs by going down and back on it, or if its cold and windy I just run up and down it a few times. Sometimes I just go to the end of the trail and then run around the park and the pond before going home.
